ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Melinda, nice to meet you! I am a Los Angeles based photographer and UCLA alumna ('23) - go Bruins! I'm currently a second year student in the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine. I specialize in natural light portraiture, ranging from creative fashion editorials to timeless weddings. Some of my hobbies include exploring new restaurants, playing soccer, going to concerts, styling outfits, planning travel itineraries, painting, and going on spontaneous roadtrips. I am a huge foodie and try to visit a new place every time I go out to eat!
With 9+ years of experience shooting portraits, photography has become my creative outlet and favorite pastime. My photo journey started in my hometown, Phoenix, during my junior year of high school in 2017, when I ended up taking a digital photography class by chance. I fell in love with the process of scouting optimal light, composing subjects, and most of all, meeting so many amazing people who I'm beyond grateful to call friends.
During the summer of 2021, I was hired by the Kardashian-Jenner family as a digital archive project intern in Calabasas. As a former Photography Lead for UCLA's Media Team, I also have experience with a wide range of events (from coffee chats with Chancellor Block, to Resident Assistant headshots, to large-scale student performances and more). In 2022, I shadowed a celebrity wedding photographer duo for several months and learned what it takes to thoroughly and professionally capture the most candid and intimate moments. Since 2022, I had the honor of photographing 1,000+ graduates from 20+ universities and high schools across California, Arizona, New York, and beyond.
One of my goals as your photographer is to not only create something I am proud to share with you, but also to tastefully capture some of your most precious moments that can't be put into words. With every session, I strive to ensure that the planning + shooting process is comfortable yet exciting so you feel like the most confident version of yourself. Let's chat!
